Camp must check in at Serolo Safari Camp to meet the guides and sign the indemnity forms.<\/p>\n<p>Guests will then be escourted by a Guide to Mohave Bush Camp. If guests wish to take thier vehicles to Mohave Bush Camp, they can follow the Guide in thier own vehicle. Generally hot (daytime min 15\u00b0C max 40\u00b0C) from October to March, and cooler from April to September (daytime min 10\u00b0C max 30\u00b0C). Birding is particularly good between October and March, depending on when the rains arrive. At this time the bush is also particularly lush with wildflowers blooming. The bush thins out from March onwards and is at its driest from July to October.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"faq_answers_holder\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq_item\" id=\"faq875faqs\"><div class=\"faq_q\" id=\"faq875faqs_q\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls =\"faq875faqs_a\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\">Game Viewing<\/div><div class=\"faq_a\" id=\"faq875faqs_a\" aria-labelledby=\"faq875faqs_q\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"faq_a_content\"><div class=\"faq_answers_holder\">\n<p>The following game and more occur here: Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Spotted Hyaena, Brown Hyaena, Eland, Giraffe, Burchell\u2019s Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Klipspringer, Bushbuck, Common Duiker, Steenbok, Black-Backed Jackal, Bat- eared Fox, Warthog, Bushpig, Small-Spotted and Large-Spotted Genet, Civet, Caracal, Porcupine, African Wildcat, Banded and Slender and Selous\u2019 Mongoose, Rock and Yellow-Spotted Dassie, Hippo, Crocodile, Aardwolf, Aardvark, Honey Badger, Vervet Monkey, Chacma Baboon, Springhare, Scrub Hare, Lesser Bushbaby.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq_item\" id=\"faq876faqs\"><div class=\"faq_q\" id=\"faq876faqs_q\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls =\"faq876faqs_a\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\">Credit Card Facilities<\/div><div class=\"faq_a\" id=\"faq876faqs_a\" aria-labelledby=\"faq876faqs_q\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"faq_a_content\"><div class=\"faq_answers_holder\">\n<p><em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;has online credit card payment facilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq_item\" id=\"faq877faqs\"><div class=\"faq_q\" id=\"faq877faqs_q\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls =\"faq877faqs_a\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\">Water<\/div><div class=\"faq_a\" id=\"faq877faqs_a\" aria-labelledby=\"faq877faqs_q\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"faq_a_content\"><div class=\"faq_answers_holder\">\n<p>Tap water at Mohave Bush Camp and Serolo Safari Camp is safe to drink and is regularly tested.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq_item\" id=\"faq878faqs\"><div class=\"faq_q\" id=\"faq878faqs_q\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls =\"faq878faqs_a\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\">Birding<\/div><div class=\"faq_a\" id=\"faq878faqs_a\" aria-labelledby=\"faq878faqs_q\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"faq_a_content\"><div class=\"faq_answers_holder\">\n<p>Birders will be pleasantly rewarded with sightings of many of the more than 350 species occurring in Tuli Wilderness\u2019 habitat: Meyer\u2019s Parrot, Meve\u2019s Starlings, Southern Black Tit, African Mourning Dove, African Scops-Owl visit are resident all year round.<\/p>\n<p>Summer brings visitors like Broadbilled Roller, Eurasian Golden Oriole, Woodland Kingfisher, Southern Carmine Bee-Eater and Levalliant\u2019s Cuckoo.<\/p>\n<p>Raptors include Little Sparrowhawk and Gabar Goshawk. Be sure to look out for the resident breeding pair of Verreaux\u2019s Eagles at Eagle Rock.<\/p>\n<p>We also have a resident Pell&#8217;s Fishing Owl at Pells Pools &#8211; be sure to visit this incredible spot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Birding is particularly good between October and March, depending on when the rains arrive. Mascom and Orange (Botswana) signal is to be found in scattered pockets around the reserve. MTN offers 3G for data connections on smart phones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;There is complimentary Wi-Fi in the main areas of both Serolo Safari Camp and Mohave Bush Camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"faq_item\" id=\"faq880faqs\"><div class=\"faq_q\" id=\"faq880faqs_q\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls =\"faq880faqs_a\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\">Border Entry<\/div><div class=\"faq_a\" id=\"faq880faqs_a\" aria-labelledby=\"faq880faqs_q\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"faq_a_content\"><p>A valid passport is required for entry into Botswana (ensure that it is still valid for at least 6 months after date of entry and there are two blank pages in it).<\/p>\n<p>Please ensure that you have your vehicle papers or police clearance papers and let us know if you require any further information regarding customs and excise allowances. Vehicle entry into Botswana costs around P260.00 \u2013 only cash (Botswana Pula) or credit card is accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Please confirm with us just before your visit which border crossing you should use (some may close due to the Limpopo river flooding in the wet season). Please contact us for further information on customs allowances and a list of countries whose nationals require visas. &nbsp;Border hours for Platjan are 06h00 &#8211; 18h00. &nbsp;Border hours for Pont Drift are 08h00 &#8211; 16h00.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline\">DIRECTIONS TO TULI WILDERNESS<\/h1>\n<div class=\"elementor elementor-1010\" data-elementor-type=\"wp-page\" data-elementor-id=\"1010\" data-elementor-settings=\"[]\">\n<div class=\"elementor-section-wrap\">\n<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7d80dbea elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7d80dbea\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-78ebaa98\" data-id=\"78ebaa98\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b60c514 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2b60c514\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>GPS co-ordinates: 22\u00ba 16\u2019 36.85\u201d S, 28\u00ba 59\u2019 33.50 (-22.276903, 28.992639)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tuli Wilderness is located in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, approximately a 6 hour drive from Johannesburg and 3 hours from Polokwane. Platjan and Pont Drift are our two closest borders (approximately 30 km from either to our reception). Serolo is approximately 550km from both Johannesburg and Gaborone, with drive times of around 6 hours from both capitals. The camp is approximately 4 hour\u2019s drive from the northern gates of the Kruger National Park.<\/p>\n<p>All guests must check-in at Serolo Safari Camp, even those visiting Mohave Buch Camp.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, under the COVID-19 legislations, <strong><em>the Pont Drift and Platjan border posts remain closed<\/em><\/strong>, and the alternative is the Martin\u2019s Drift Border post.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>VIA MARTINS DRIFT BORDER POST<\/h6>\n<p>When travelling to Martin\u2019s Drift please ensure that you follow Google Maps to \u2018GROBLERSBRUG\u2018 Border and don\u2019t put in Martin\u2019s Drift as the GPS waypoint is INCORRECT.<\/p>\n<p>There is a charge of around P 152.00 per vehicle for entry into Botswana \u2013 please ensure that you have all of the necessary vehicle papers and permission letters to take your vehicle across the border. Only Botswana Pula (BWP) and credit card may be used as a means of payment at the border.<\/p>\n<p>After passing through the Botswana border control, follow the road for 20km and then turn right (signboards directing to Selebi-Phikwe).<\/p>\n<p>After 105km, turn right at the signboard directing to Bobonong (as you have entered Sefophe village). Follow this road for 53 km to Bobonong and take the third exit at the roundabout.<\/p>\n<p>After 700m, turn right at the Tjunction. A further 650m, turn left at the signboards marked Thune Dam \/ Pont Drift. Follow this road straight for 65km (passing the Thune Dam wall) until you get to a T-junction where the tar road ends.<\/p>\n<p>Turn left onto the gravel road.<\/p>\n<p>Turn right after 8km at the signboard marked \u2018Serolo Safari Camp\u2019 and follow the track for another 2kms, turning right again at the small Serolo signboard and the camps is just a short distance down this track.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Please contact the border or Tuli Wilderness prior to travel so that we can advise the best route available at the time! We do arrange border pick-ups and drop-offs for a fee \u2013 please contact us should you require more information.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>VIA PLATJAN BORDER POST<\/h6>\n<p><em><strong>Please note that the Limpopo River crossing at Platjan is on a 3m wide causeway. If the Limpopo River is flowing over the bridge, it cannot be crossed and the alternative then (if coming from South Africa) is to drive down to Martin\u2019s Drift which is approximately three hour\u2019s drive from Serolo Safari Camp.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>If guests are coming with a non-4\u00d74 vehicle, entry must be via Platjan border as the Motloutse Riverbed has to be crossed if coming via Pont Drift. A 4\u00d74 vehicle is not a necessity to reach our reception (except in very rare circumstances during the wet season), however, travel in low sedan vehicles is not recommended in the wet season (October to April) \u2013 please confirm with us before travel to check on the road conditions if travelling at this time of year.<\/p>\n<p>Coming from Polokwane, arrive at the T-junction in Alldays and turn right and immediately left onto the R572 to Swartwater.&nbsp; Approximately 4kms outside of Alldays, turn right onto a gravel road \u2013 signposted \u201cPlatjan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve seen the last of tarred roads now.&nbsp; It is approximately 35kms to Platjan border post.&nbsp; There is a low level bridge crossing the Limpopo River at this border post. There is a charge of around P 152.00 per vehicle for entry into Botswana \u2013 please ensure that you have all of the necessary vehicle papers and permission letters to take your vehicle across the border. Only Botswana Pula (BWP) and credit card may be used as a means of payment at the border.<\/p>\n<p>After passing through the border entry, you will arrive at a T-junction, approximately 8kms from Platjan, turn right here and it is 26km to the&nbsp;<em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;entrance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the way to us, you will cross straight over a T-junction (which is the tar road heading to Bobonong).&nbsp; At the&nbsp;<em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;signboard on the right, turn in and follow the small road for 2kms until you reach our reception and parking area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>VIA PONT DRIFT BORDER POST<\/h6>\n<p><em><strong>Should the Limpopo and\/or Motloutse Rivers be flowing this border cannot be crossed, and the alternative then (if coming from South Africa) is to drive down to Martin\u2019s Drift which is approximately three hour\u2019s drive from Serolo Safari Camp. A 4\u00d74 is needed if entering at Pont Drift, regardless of time of year.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>If guests are coming with a non-4\u00d74 vehicle, entry must be via Platjan border as the Motloutse Riverbed has to be crossed if coming via Pont Drift. Only Botswana Pula (BWP) and credit card may be used as a means of payment at the border.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve completed the border formalities in SA you\u2019ve seen the last of tar roads.&nbsp; Cross the Limpopo River bed \u2013 there is neither a bridge nor a low level crossing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 1km outside Pont Drift border post, turn left.&nbsp; It\u2019s 30km to the&nbsp;<em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;entrance.&nbsp; Travelling on this road, you will cross a veterinary fence where you\u2019ll be required to put the soles of your shoes in an anti-pest watery solution (You are not required to pay anything at this gate).&nbsp; Continue on to a four-way stop and go straight \u2013 do not turn left or right.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You will cross the Motloutse River bed \u2013 there is also no bridge or low-level crossing \u2013 continue travelling and pass through the cattle-grids at Talana Farms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2kms past the farms you\u2019ll find the entrance to&nbsp;<em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;on the left.&nbsp; Turn in here and follow the small road for another 2kms until you reach the Reception and Parking area.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact the border or&nbsp;<em>Tuli Wilderness<\/em>&nbsp;prior to travel so that we can advise the best route available at the time should the Limpopo or Motloutse Rivers be flowing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>FROM GABORONE \/ MAUN<\/h6>\n<p>Driving from Gaborone \/ Maun, guests should head to Selebi-Phikwe and then on to Bobonong. Keep to the main road in Bobonong until you reach a roundabout, where you turn right. Follow this road to a T-junction where you turn right at a signboard reading \u201cMathathane\u201d Continue on this road and turn left at signboards reading \u2018Thune Dam\u201d and \u2018Mashatu 100km\u2019. Follow this road passing through Molalatau en route and continuing straight past the turnings for Mathathane and Mothlabaneng. After 62km you will reach a T-junction, where you turn left onto a dirt road signed to Lentswe-le-Moriti.
