Platjan and Pont Drift are our two closest borders (approximately 30 km from either to our reception). Serolo is approximately 550km from both Johannesburg and Gaborone, with drive times of around 6 hours from both capitals. The camp is approximately 4 hour’s drive from the northern gates of the Kruger National Park.
Guests will check-in via Serolo Safari Camp, even if they are staying at Mohave Bush Camp.
VIA PLATJAN BORDER POST
If guests are coming with a non-4×4 vehicle, entry must be via Platjan border as the Motloutse Riverbed has to be crossed if coming via Pont Drift. A 4×4 vehicle is not a necessity to reach our reception (except in very rare circumstances during the wet season), however, travel in low sedan vehicles is not recommended in the wet season (October to April) – please confirm with us before travel to check on the road conditions if travelling at this time of year.
Coming from Polokwane, arrive at the T-junction in Alldays and turn right and immediately left onto the R572 to Swartwater. Approximately 4kms outside of Alldays, turn right onto a gravel road – signposted “Platjan”.

There is a charge of around P 152.00 per vehicle for entry into Botswana – please ensure that you have all of the necessary vehicle papers and permission letters to take your vehicle across the border. Only Botswana Pula (BWP) and credit card may be used as a means of payment at the border.

On the way to us, you will cross straight over a T-junction (which is the tar road heading to Bobonong). At the Tuli Wilderness signboard on the right, turn in and follow the small road for 2kms until you reach our reception and parking area.
VIA PONT DRIFT BORDER POST
Should the Limpopo and/or Motloutse Rivers be flowing this border cannot be crossed, and the alternative then (if coming from South Africa) is to drive down to Martin’s Drift which is approximately three hour’s drive from Serolo Safari Camp.
